My Gingko

Posted by
Ruthiebear (Titusville, NJ, United States) on 29 June 2012 in Plant & Nature.

The man who built our house around 1900, planted a small Gingko tree in the front yard. It is now a huge tree with unusual bilobed leaves with no ribs. The leaves turn yellow in the fall and all fall off in a storm of yellow in one day.

An interesting angle and close-up of these gingko leaves! I have one in my parkway and I saw all the leaves fall, leaving a blanket on the ground.
