WHile hiking in Washington Crossing Park in PA I came across this sign and followed the trail to the graves.

This is beautiful, the intensity of color is amazing...somehow I find it sad that that soldier was left unknown after putting his life on the line for so many others.....beautiful tribute Ruthiebear !

A large collage, these graves of are a reminder of the brutality the war and how many stayed on the battlefield! Human has not yet learned that wars do not produce than grief! :-))Haleja.

I always find those unknown soldiers graves the hardest to look at. To be laid to rest for ever and not even have your name on the tombstone is so sad. Great pics.
