I thought for the month of October in anticipation of Halloween, I would return to Pennhurst . abandoned asylum. I took all of these images with the HDR setting on my camera.

Whoa!! It looks like the playground has been taken over. A great network of branches that stand out against the sky. The next child to go down that slide will have to get a tetanus shot. :-)

The HDR definitely works so well on all these tiny branches. The branches also form a screen for the forgotten slide.

The overgrown playground and the slide covered with brush is such a symbol for the sadness of this place. I can hear the silence.
