@Dany Hèm-Kervran: There are very few covered bridges left in the USA. In NJ where I live there is but 1. This one is in Pennsylvania where there are quite a few still in use. Here is a link

I have often wondered covered bridges. I do not really understand the purpose of recovery. It is indeed a very nice looking building and image brings it up nicely.

@grouser: COvered bridges are no longer built. In days past they were built to protect the wooden trusses and part from the weather. There are few left. In NJ where I live there is only 1. In Pennsylvania there are several.
