ATTITUDE CROISÉE 1999
The title of this magnificent work, describes the classical ballet position so beautifully executed, by this little dancer. Cast by the Polich Tallix Foundry in New York, this sculpture is engineered for safety and public use.
Sterett-Gittings Kelsey was graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a B.F.A. in Sculpture in 1964. Kelsey works primarily in bronze. Her work can be found in the permanent collection of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC; the National Museum of Sport, Indianapolis, The Royal Porcelain Museum, Copenhagen, and the Hakone Open-AIr Museum in Tokyo. Her work can also be found in many private and corporate collections throughout the world, including McDonald's and Pepsi Cola.
