April 20 Life in B&W

Posted by
Ruthiebear (Titusville, NJ, United States) on 20 April 2018 in Animal & Insect.

An image I took back in the mid 70s of my pet Samoyed. I scanned and enhanced to try and recover it.

Wow, Ruthie. The thumbnail is very obviously a dog but the larger size, as it opens, reminds me of an abstract painting. Well done.

A nice simplicity here though he does rather look as though he has been left out in a downpour :)

Sorry , but for once , I'm not really enjoy by the processing here , perhaps with colors ? Phil

20 Apr 2018 2:29pm

@Phil: It is ok, Phil. It was an old B&W photo that did not do well when scanned. I just loved my pet who is no longer around, and wanted to try.

Don from Spokane, United States

Your work with this picture and the processing has produced an excellent abstraction of the dog. I like it.

What a handsome dog she must have been... A high school chum had a Samoyed named "Bear". I loved that dog! I really like how you've processed this - like a painting!
