When we first moved to our home we decided we'd like to have a notecard of the house. We asked our friend Michael Holter to create it. HE visited us an made a few preliminary sketches. After a few weeks, he called and said it had become a watercolor! This was back in the 1980s before he found his fame. We value this painting. Here you can see it on display in our home. In front of it is a photo of the man who had our house built standing in front of the house in the early 1900s.

About.me
@Steven: YOu are correct. We are across the street. At the time we asked him to somehow include the river in the notecard rendering. As I said above, he painted a water color for us, and included the river, and excluding the steet.
@Devi: Yes, he has become quite well known nowadays. They lived in Virginia when we knew them, but have lived in Texas for many years now.
